We are organizing a community work space that is accessible to people at all levels of skill and interest.

What the work space will hold will be entirely up to the community it revolves around.

A default work space would include small woodworking tools, some power tools, 3D printers, electronics + soldering equipment , and some textiles + art equipment. These are suggestions, so this is not guaranteed to be the end product.

The work space can be used for trades/art adjacent projects that do not require a lot of room and can be accomplished safely.

The intended use of the work space is mixed, so you can work on a serious project, build some furniture for your apartment, or just hang out.

This will be the biggest challenge of this venture, because the cost per person will be dependent on the location we can lease.

We hope to keep this affordable to all, but the current maximum projected cost is $75 per month, and will include full access to the space and tools.

Lower cost options will be available, but will have limited access.

With the utmost respect to maker spaces, as they serve an important role in local communities, we see them as a club to serve its members, which due to the large cost of running something like it, creates a financial barrier for many people that would otherwise benefit from the space.

With Create Community, we make it our goal to lower that financial barrier of entry, so that we can serve the community that we are a part of.

Similar to a library, at Create Community you can expect to come and go as you please, socialize, or relax by yourself.

We are a community, first and foremost. It's in our name, so we kind of have to hold up to that.

Create Community was founded by two people who shared the dream of connecting everyone that is passionate about creating, so that we can grow into a cornerstone that enables the realization of goals, hobbies, projects, careers, or friendships that were seemingly impossible to achieve before.
